Committees

Membership in the U.Va. Parents Committee is a great way to become more involved and make a difference!
 
The committee holds two annual meetings, which all members are encouraged to attend. During the fall meeting, held over Family Weekend, grant recipients are announced. The spring meeting, usually held in April, offers an opportunity to visit selected projects funded by the committee that year.  These meetings also provide members with the opportunity to hear updates on current issues directly from key University administrators.
 
In addition, members have opportunities to work with UVaClubs to host or attend parent events in their hometowns, meet and work with other U.Va. parents from around the world, and provide input on issues that are important to parents, students and the University community.
 
Members who would like to be more active have additional opportunities through the sub-committees.
